Privacy Policy
What abhith.net collects, which third-party services it relies on, and how to opt out.
Last updated: September 2026.
abhith.net is a personal website. It has no accounts, no newsletter and no paywall, and I don’t sell or share personal data. This page lists what is collected and by whom.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymisation) and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages are read and how the site is used — page views, referrers, browser and device details, and anonymised interaction data such as clicks and scrolling. When your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, no page views are recorded and Clarity is not loaded.
Advertising
Some pages show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage or opt out of personalised ads and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Comments and mentions
- Comments are powered by Giscus, which stores them as GitHub Discussions. Commenting requires signing in with GitHub and is subject to GitHub’s privacy statement. The widget only loads when you scroll to the comments section.
- Webmentions — public likes, reposts and replies to posts on other sites — are collected through webmention.io and shown under the post, including the author’s public name and avatar.
Contact form
Messages sent from the contact page are delivered through Forminit (formerly Getform). Your name, email and message are used only to reply to you.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies; it only keeps your theme and recent command-palette commands in your browser’s local storage, which never leaves your device. Cookies you see come from the third parties above (analytics and ads). You can block or delete them in your browser settings at any time; the site keeps working without them.
Links to other websites
Posts link to many external sites. Their privacy practices are their own, so please check their policies.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
